Intermediate Ballistic Shield Class

This 3 day program is designed to provide Law Enforcement/ Government personnel with the knowledge and skill sets needed to operate a ballistic shield in and around structures in a CQB enviroment.

Course Topics

• Considerations for shield deployment
• Team formations and movements
• Window breaches
• Small team threshold movements
• Hallway movements (L’s, T,s, Opposing doors)
• Breaching interior doors and shield placement
• Deliberate clearance techniques with shield
• Dynamic movement with shield
• Solo/ Small team active shooter response
• Combative considerations with team movement

Class Requirements: Ballistic Shield, Blue Pistol and blue bolt for rifle, eye protection, sims protective gear, 1,000 rounds pistol sims ammo, 500 rounds rifle sims ammo, clothing for force on force, water, snacks, notepad.

*Must attend Spearhead Tactical Basic shield operator course prior to Intermediate.
