Basic Ballistic Shield Operator

This is a 2 day program designed to provided law enforcement/government personnel with the knowledge and skill sets needed to deploy a ballistic shield in support of there operational needs. Students will receive comprehensive instruction on ballistic shield deployment methodology, in open air situations, Barricade, High risk vehicle stops.

• Proper Ballistic Shield live fire techniques
• Live fire movement solo and pair work
• Low light live fire shield work
• Combative considerations with shield
• Designated shield options/ shield rifle options
• High risk traffic stops
• Ballistic shield history and nomenclature

Class Requirements: 500 rounds pistol ammo, 250 rounds rifle ammo, Duty belt, Pistol mounted light recommended, eye protection, ear protection, note pad, water, snacks and range attire.
